PT Multi Mas Nabati Jamin Lingkungan Pabriknya Tidak Tercemar Limbah Berbahaya
Kontra.ID — PT Multi Mas Nabati Asahan (MNA) yang beroperasi di tengah lingkungan pemukiman warga di Desa Kuala Tanjung, Kabupatan Batu Bara belakangan diprotes warga lantaran mencemari lingkungan mereka.
Selain tudingan bau busuk saat beroperasinya pabrik minyak itu saat siang hingga malam membuat warga mengeluh sesak nafas.
Selain mengakibatkan sesak nafas akibat dugaan pencemaran asap pabrik, pabrik juga dituding sebabkan warga gatal-gatal karena air bersih warga tercemar pabrik
Marta misalnya, salah seorang warga sekitar pabrik, mengeluhkan dampak proyek pengerukan parit di tanah milik PT Multi Mas Nabati disekitar rawa-rawa Pabrik, yang dekat dengan rumah Marta, yang ditudingnya sebagai limbah.
Marta, Salah seorang warga Kuala Tanjung yang air bersihnya terdampak pabrik mengakibatkan gatal-gatal, dia menelusuri jejak air hitam berbuih yang disebutnya sebagai Limbah Pabrik di PT Multi Mas Nabati Asahan, Pihak Humas Pabrik menyebut itu bukan limbah, melainkan rawa-rawa milik pabrik.
Marta juga mengeluhkan air bersihnya tercemar zat pabrik.
Selain keluhan Marta yang langsung terpapar dampak pabrik ini, Sawit warga juga dituding mati akibat tercemar limbah pabrik.
Terkait ini, Staf Humas PT Multias Nabati, Muhammad Rasyid mengaku Bos PT Multi Mas Nabati, Yoopie Algerie sudah mengetahui kejadian ini dan sudah menindaklanjuti keluhan tersebut.
Secara berterus terang, Rasyid bilang, sejak pada sabtu, 8 Agustus 2020 lalu, pihaknya sudah menindaklanjuti keluhan Marta selaku warga yang terdampak proyek pengalian parit di tanah milik pabrik Multi Mas Nabati, yang menimbulkan dampak air bersih yang tak masuk ke tanah warga hingga membuat warga gatal-gatal.
“Hari sabtu kita sudah menindaklanjuti keluhan ibu marta dengan membuat parit, sehingga air tidak masuk ke tanahnya” kata Rasyid melaporkan untuk Kontra.id, Minggu, 9 Agustus 2020.
Kondisi Rawa-rawa yang disebut PT Multi Mas Nabati ini sebelumnya dikeluhkan warga di sekitar Pabrik, kini kondisinya sudah dibereskan.
Lebih lanjut Rasyid mengatakan, tidak benar kalo informasi proyek pengalian parit di tanah milik Wilmar Group ini dikaitkan dengan limbah berbahaya yang mencemari lingkungan warga sekitar parik.
“Karena tempat pembuangan limbah pabrik kita itu ada tempatnya sendiri, bukan ditempat yang dikeluhkan ibu Marta. Lokasi yang dikeluhkan ibu Marta itu Rawa-rawa pabrik yang digali. Rawa rawa itu kan berbeda dengan limbah” kata Rasyid.
Terkait tudingan warga yang menuding pabrik PT Multi Mas Nabati telah lama mencemarkan air bersih hingga sebabkan warga gatal-gatal, Rasyid kemudian katakan warga disekitar pabrik tidak perlu hawatir lagi.
Sebab kata Rasyid, dalam waktu secepatnya, sesuai perintah Bos Pabrik PT Multi Mas Nabati, Yoopie Algerie, pihaknya akan segera
membangun sumur bor di sekitar pabrik untuk mengobat hati warga yang mengeluhkan sulitnya mendapat air bersih, dampak dari pengalian yang disebut Rasyid sebagai rawa rawa pabrik.
Ditanya terkiat sawit warga disekitar pabrik yang dituding mati disebabkan limbah Multi Mas Nabati, Rasyid memisalkan banyak juga kebun sawit yang mati akibat air asin dan lebih-lebih karena tidak dirawat oleh pemilik.
“Nah bisa jadi itu bukan efek Multi Mas saja, efek dari pembagunan kawasan industri di Kuala Tanjung juga, namun untuk sawit milik ibu marta yang mati dikaitkan dengan efek pabrik kita itu tidak benar, karena setelah kami cek kebun sawitnya tidak terawat,” katanya.
Ditanya soal pengelolaan limbah di Pabrik Multi Mas Nabati, Rasyid mengatakan tidak ada masalah.
Dia bilang soal limbah di sekitar pabrik itu sudah dijalankan sesuai dengan peraturan yang berlaku.
“Bahkan kita setiap bulan wajib melakukan audit internal dan eksternal terkait pengelolaan limbah kita dengan transparan, tidak ada masalah soal limbah kita” tambah Rasyid panjang lebar.
Hingga saat ini, lanjut Rasyid, pengelolaan limbah Pabrik PT Multi Mas Nabati sudah baik dan tidak ada yang berbahaya, secara berulang kali dia menjamin tidak ada masalah pabrik dengan limbah.
“Setiap bulan kita juga ada melaporkan pengelolaan limbah kita ke Dinas Lingkungan Hidup kabupaten Batu Bara, provinsi hingga kepada Kementrian, jadi kalo limbah tercemar sudah ditutup Pabrik kita sama pemerintah, kenyataannya kan tidak ditutup, artinya kita tidak pernah melanggar” tegasnya.
Namun Rasyid juga menyadari, dampak negatif perusahaan PT Multi Mas Nabati terhadap lingkungan di daerah itu pasti ada.
“Ya pasti ada,” kata Rasyid.
Namun Rasyid juga mengatakan efek positif berdirinya PT Multi Mas Nabati di Kuala Tanjung jauh lebih banyak lagi dari pada negatifnya.
“Seperti UMKM disekitar pabrik kita saat ini sudah tumbuh jauh lebih pesat. Dan Saat ini PT. Multi Mas Nabati telah memiliki lebih kurang 700 karyawan ditambah lebih kurang 1.200 tenaga kontraktor yang 95% yang bekerja adalah anak Batu Bara khususnya sekitar pabrik,” tungkasnya. **
