Kontra.ID — Ketua Himpunan Pelajar dan Mahasiswa Serdang Bedagai, Jerry Fernando, menilai arahan dari Bupati Serdang Bedagai Ir. H. Soekirman setelah beliau dinyatakan positif Covid-19, yang meminta masyarakat patuh protokol kesehatan, terkesan plin-plan.

Jerry mengatakan, Bupati Sergai seharusnya mampu menyesuaikan perkataan dan perbuatan. Ir. H. Soekirman yang dinilai begitu ambisius untuk ikut Pilkada 2020, walaupun sempat gagal dalam seleksi berkas, tidak sejalan dengan arahannya kepada masyarakat untuk tetap menjaga jarak . Karena proses Pilkada, mau tak mau akan menyebabkan masyarakat  berkumpul dalam jumlah yang banyak .

“Bupati Sergai seperti terjangkit ‘disonansi kognitif’ (konflik psikologis). Meminta masyarakat patuh protokol kesehatan, tapi berambisi kali ikut Pilkada. Bukannya nanti Pilkada itu akan menyebabkan orang berkumpul dalam jumlah yang banyak?” kata Jerry, Serdang Bedagai, 15 September 2020.

Lagi pula, kata dia, Bupati Sergai Ir. H. Soekirman sebagai Ketua Gugus Tugas Penanganan Covid-19 Kabupaten Sergai, sudah seharusnya paham tentang apa saja yang berpotensi menyebabkan peningkatan kasus Covid-19.

“Prinsip dasar kepemimpinan itukan harus memahami teori analisa sosial. Nampaknya, Tuan Bupati tidak mengindahkan itu,” kata Jerry.

Jerry lantas mempertanyakan kesungguhan Bupati Sergai dalam menangani pandemi Covid-19. “Dalam 5 hari, kasus positif Covid-19 di Sergai bisa meningkat 8 orang. Dan sekarang Bupati juga sedang menjalankan isolasi. Tentu ini membuat masyarakat Sergai ragu dan mempertanyakan kesiapan Tuan Bupati untuk mengatasi pandemi di Sergai ini,” ujar dia.


Hingga saat ini, Bupati Serdang Bedagai Ir. H. Soekirman belum bisa dihubungi.  Karena membutuhkan istirahat untuk menjalani masa isolasi di salah satu rumah sakit.

“Untuk sementara tidak usah WA, SMS, apalagi menelpon saya, karena saya membutuhkan istrahat,” ungkap Soekirman, seperti yang ditayangkan akun Instragram @tribunmedandaily, 15 September 2020.
